Media Stable Managing Director Nic Hayes says Australia’s peacekeeping force will help “restore order” to the Solomon Islands.  

The Australian is reporting a total of 73 Australian Federal Police personnel and 43 members of the Australian Defence Force will be deployed to help put down a rebellion in the country’s capital.  

“While those number don’t seem very high … that is a big force for the Solomon Islands there and support just to get back on track, get the riots down and to get them settled,” Mr Hayes told Sky News host Jenna Clarke.
