Liberal MP John Alexander says Bridget Archer showed an incredible amount of courage to cross the floor.

Sky News can reveal Prime Minister Scott Morrison hauled Liberal MP Bridget Archer into a meeting after she crossed the floor over a national anti-corruption watchdog.

The meeting took place following a vote in the House of Representatives on Thursday after Ms Archer voted against her government on the need to debate a national integrity commission.

“She, like many, is probably frustrated that this hasn’t progressed,” Mr Alexander told Sky News Australia.

“And it’s probably going to be the ice breaker to allow things to progress.”
