A NUMBER of roads across the borough will be affected by electricity works over the next few weeks.

Drivers are being warned that there will be no left turn out of Trinity Street in Bolton town centre into Manchester Road for around 10 days from Monday.

An alternate route for traffic will be in place via Thynne Street and Orlando Street.

And, for approximately one week, St Helena Road, also in Bolton town centre, will be closed from December 13, prohibiting traffic from travelling on St Helena Road, from Bark Street to Pool Street.

Wearish Lane in Westhoughton will be closed on December 10, stopping all traffic from proceeding along the road from Shearwater Drive to Hindley Road while works to take place.

To ensure recycling bins are emptied during the resurfacing works, council officials are asking residents to present them at the nearest accessible point, so they can be emptied on the usual collection days.

Council officials say they want to apologise for any inconvenience the road closures may cause to residents and road users.
