The Liberal Party has a history of MPs crossing the floor, according to Sky News contributor Gemma Tognini. 

It comes after Liberal MP Bridget Archer crossed the floor to back the push for a federal integrity commission. 

“It’s not new, it’s not something that’s never been done in the history of conservative politics,” Ms Tognini told Sky News host Catherine McGregor. 

“And that’s because Liberal Party MPs don’t have to go seek permission from their union warlords and overlords to decide what to think and how to vote. 

“That's a Liberal Party value and a Liberal tradition.”
