Philippe Coutinho has checked in at Bodymoor Heath after completing his loan switch to Aston Villa from Spanish giants Barcelona.
Ralf Rangnick’s side will face Villa for the second time in a week, having knocked them out of the FA Cup on Monday night.
And Steven Gerrard’s team will be buoyed by Couthino’s arrival on Saturday evening, who will start training alongside his new team-mates from Wednesday morning.
Coutinho’s arrival in England was delayed while he had been self-isolating with Covid-19, but claims he ‘feels good’ ahead of Villa’s home clash against Manchester United on Saturday.
“I am feeling good, I was training at home of course every day,” Villa’s new signing told VillaTV.
“I spoke with the fitness coach here also, I think I am good but for sure tomorrow I will meet the staff and I will see what the plan is for training.
“I am feeling very good.”
