Very high voltage on North Korea, who fired a unidentified missile after the hypersonic one a few days ago. The launch took place off the eastern coast of the country, in the second provocation of the regime Kim Jong-un, since the beginning of 2022.
The launch of the suspected ballistic missile at 7.27 am local time is believed to have occurred from the northern province of Jagang, on the border with China, and arrives less than a week after a hypersonic missile test launched from the same location. The bullet traveled over 700 kilometers, reaching a maximum height of 60 kilometers, and exceeding, at maximum speed, of 10 times the speed of sound: according to the first findings of the South Korean military, today’s test represents an advancement compared to the one carried out on 5 January last.
The launch was called “unpleasant” by the Japanese prime minister, Fumio Kishida, and Japan “strongly condemned” the episode. “Strong regret”, however, was expressed by South Korea: the test takes place “at a time when a stable political situation is fundamental”, underlined the office of the president, Moon Jae-in, who in the last months of the his mandate would like to focus on the possibility of reaching a formal conclusion of the Korean War, which ended in 1953 only with an armistice.
