BAITULMUQADDIS, NOV 24 – Israel killed 23 people and injured 45 others in a series of airstrikes that targeted several towns in Baalbek province, eastern Lebanon yesterday, state media and the Ministry of Health reported.
According to the Agency Anatoliaat least 13 people, including four children were killed and 13 others were injured when Israeli fighter jets attacked a house in the town of Shmustar.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that among the victims were a mother and her four children in addition to five other victims who lost their lives and five others were injured in the town of Bodai.
Four people were also reported killed while three others were injured in Flawiye town while another died in Brital town.
The airstrikes also injured 18 people in the city of Ras al-Ain and three others were injured in the city of Hourtala.
While in the Zahle district, Bekaa region, an Israeli airstrike in the Harat al-Fikani area killed one person and injured three others.
Israel, which is involved in a cross-border war with Lebanon, launched an air campaign in late September.
Since last October, more than 3,600 people have been killed by Israeli attacks in Lebanon, with more than 15,300 injured and more than 1 million residents displaced, according to Lebanese health authorities. – Named
