BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 29 – Bank Baiduri in collaboration with the Brunei Economic Development Board (BEDB) held the 15th PMKS Empowerment Series workshop titled Brand Mastery Masterclassrecently.
According to a statement issued by Bank Baiduri, here, the aim of the workshop is to provide local micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) with the tools to build powerful and lasting brands.
As part of Bank Baiduri’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program under the Economic Pillar, the event reflects the bank’s ongoing commitment to supporting the local business community.
A total of 50 business owners from various industries such as food and beverage, retail and services who participated in the workshop gained valuable insight in assessing their brand’s current position, identifying unique value propositions and generating customer experiences that align with their brand story.
The workshop led by branding expert from Global Brand Academy, Dr Jerome Joseph, offered a comprehensive approach to brand building that includes more than just logos and slogans.
Known for his practical insights and engaging presentations, Dr Jerome brings over 28 years of experience in brand strategy, where he has worked with over 1,000 brands worldwide including Fortune 500 companies.
One of the techniques introduced is internal branding where business owners are taught to involve their teams in delivering the brand message consistently. Dr Jerome also highlighted how aligning the team with brand values strengthens credibility and improves the overall customer experience.
Head of Business Banking, Bank Baiduri, Mohd Isa Liew Mohd Amin Liew when quoted commenting on the workshop stated that at Bank Baduri, they believe a strong brand is important for sustainable business success.
Through the PMKS Empowerment Series, Bank Baiduri aims to empower local businesses with the skills and confidence to build a brand that resonates with its target audience.
The workshop, he commented, not only introduced a practical framework but also highlighted how strong branding can be a powerful tool to navigate challenges and seize opportunities in a competitive market.
