BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 24 – About 5,000 participants participated in the 2nd Palestinian Unity Walkathon held at the Royal Wharf in the capital, today.
The event organized by Big BWN Project and Palestine Poppies in collaboration with the Brunei Youth Council was a strong act of unity for the Palestinians in Gaza, gathering the community while wearing the colors of the Palestinian flag.
The walkathon starts as early as 6:30am and covers an exciting 1.7 kilometer route around the landmarks of Bandar Seri Begawan, starting and ending at the Royal Wharf.
Participants who participated in the event included diplomats, families, students, and individuals of various ages, as a symbolic sign of solid support for Palestine and spreading a message of hope and unity.
“Today’s multifaceted support reflects the community’s commitment to stand in solidarity with Palestine, with an important cause,” event organizers said.
The initiative was realized with the support of sponsors, including Wasan Milling Company, SWEAT Fitness Studio, Air Rainwater, Beverages by Wafi, Ying Bee Company, Mix Media, Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Children’s Health Sciences Institute (PAPRSB IHS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam ( UBD), Plastic Reverse Recycling Partners, and Filmethic Media Partners, whose contributions are essential to ensure the success of the event.
The 2nd Palestinian Unity Walkathon is not just an event, but it is a symbol of Brunei’s unity, love, and strong commitment to fight for global peace and humanity.
