Sport: The Spaniard has won the Grand Slam tournament a total of 14 times. Although Nadal has struggled with injuries in recent years, he is full of hope before the start of the tournament.

– I will give my best. And if 100 percent isn’t enough to win a game, I’ll accept that. But I don’t go on the field without faith that I can do it. If there’s a 0.01 percent chance I’ll still give it a try, Nadal said last week.

The AFP news agency reports that about 6,000 people were present in the stands on the main court during Nadal’s practice on Monday.

– We have to enjoy the time he has left on the field. Probably nothing like this will happen again, says Nadal’s coach Carlos Moya.

– Personally, I am never usually in the stands before he arrives or when he leaves, but this year I will make an exception to bring all the love he gets from the spectators with me, Moya continues.

Nadal took his last title to date when he beat Casper Ruud in the Roland-Garros final in 2022. Last year, Novak Djokovic became champion, also with a final victory over Ruud.
