NANJING, NOV 17 – Eight people were killed and 17 others injured in a knife attack at a vocational school in Yixing City, east China’s Jiangsu Province yesterday, reports said. Xinhua citing local police authorities.
The attack happened at about 6:30 pm at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology.
The 21-year-old suspect, known only by the surname Xu, was arrested at the scene and confessed to the crime, according to a statement issued by the Yixing public security bureau.
According to the police, Xu, a graduate of the school this year, returned to the school to vent his anger at not receiving a graduation certificate for failing the exam and was not satisfied with the payment during his internship.
Rescue efforts are underway, and police are continuing investigations into the case. – Named
