BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, SEPT 25 – The Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) and the departments under it held a Special Lecture in conjunction with the Maulud of the Prophet Muhammad SAW at the Banquet Hall, JPM Building.
Present as a special guest at the ceremony was the Acting Minister at JPM, Dato Seri Paduka Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu.
Also present were deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, acting permanent secretaries, acting deputy permanent secretaries, special guests, heads of departments and divisions, JPM officers and staff and departments under them.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Mosque Affairs Officer, Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, Haji Mohammed Izzat Izzuddin bin Begawan Pehin Khatib Dato Paduka Haji Emran, while the recitation of the holy verses of the Al-Quran was led by students of the Highest Diploma of ‘Aliyah Qiraat Institute of Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Awang Zainal Mustapa bin Jaluddin.
The ceremony continued with a special talk titled Maintaining Reason Based on the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW which was delivered by the guest speaker, Assistant Religious Officer from the Islamic Dakwah Center, Awang Muhammad Syahirul Syafiq bin Rashid.
In his talk, he emphasized the importance of preserving reason based on the Sunnah of the Prophet SAW, which is a very valuable gift from Allah SWT.
“Therefore, it is very valuable and must be preserved by applying pure values and knowledge as commanded by Allah SWT,” he explained.
The event was also enlivened by the Dikir Syarafil Anam performance performed by the Royal Brunei Police Men’s Dikir Team.
The event, which was jointly managed by the Department of Energy at JPM, the Department of Public Services and the Brunei Research Department, was one of the annual activities of JPM and the departments under it to both enliven and enliven the celebration of the great day of Islam while also receiving the intercession of the Prophet Muhammad SAW
