Chiefs S Bryan Cook, 49ers LT Trent Williams fined after altercation

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) — Kansas City Chiefs safety and San Francisco 49ers left tackle Trent Williams were both fined after their altercation in the 4th quarter last week.

Cook slapped Williams helmet while he was getting off the ground and Williams responded by punching Cook’s helmet after he got back up.

Williams was the only one penalized and he was ejected from the game. He was fined $11,817. Cook was fined $8,442.64.

Cook is currently on his rookie deal, and signed a four-year, $5.8 million contract in 2022. Williams—who is the highest paid left tackle in the NFL—reworked his contract last month. He agreed to a three-year deal worth $82.66 million.

The Chiefs ended up winning the game 28-18. They face the Las Vegas Raiders on the road Sunday at 3:25 p.m. as they look to stay undefeated.
