BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, OCT 28 – The HEALTH HUNTERS team emerged as the champions of the Discover UBD 2024 Challenge in conjunction with National Family Day 2024 which took place at the Chancellor’s Hall, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD), yesterday.
Present to present the prizes to the winners was the Permanent Secretary (Community), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajah Nor Ashikin Haji Johari.
In the event, the winner took home a prize of flight tickets to Melbourne, Australia for four people, while the second place winner team Houdini’s Friends took home a prize of flight tickets to Seoul, Korea for four people and the third place winner, team Lucky Beanie 79 took home prize flight tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for four people.
In addition, the fourth to tenth place teams also received gifts in the form of massage chairs, electrical equipment and UBD goods as a token of appreciation for their participation and extraordinary efforts.
The Discover UBD 2024 challenge aims to foster the spirit of teamwork, promote the history and values ​​of UBD while supporting charitable efforts where 10 percent of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the UBD Endowment Fund.
The event involved a total of 304 participants from 76 teams in various interesting challenge events such as solving clues and navigating various tasks throughout the UBD campus.
The teams had to complete all the challenges without using vehicles, in line with UBD’s commitment to sustainable practices as part of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) initiative, in addition to promoting environmentally friendly habits and encouraging participants to interact responsibly with the campus environment.
