CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Sherwin-Williams Global Headquarters is nearing completion and has recently been crowned with signage that can be seen from miles away.
The letters up to 11 feet tall spelling out the name of the paint giant were manufactured by YESCO, a Salt Lake City sign and lighting company, Sherwin-Williams said. It’s covered with Sherwin-Williams’ own premium liquid and powder coat finishes.
“First impressions are crucial, from the front door to the top floor,” the company wrote. “All over the world, brands and businesses depend on signage to be the first interaction they have with potential customers.”
Sherwin-Williams said the sign is approximately 106 feet across. Each letter, which are between 7 to 11 feet tall, were raised and fixed individually on both the east and west facing sides near the top of Cleveland’s newest skyscraper. Installation began in mid-October.
Heidi Petz, the company’s CEO, said earlier that she hoped its around 4,000 employees would move into this new location by the end of 2024. Sherwin-Williams noted that it expects the move-in process to begin in early 2025, per its website.
The 36-story building, which is an estimated 1 million square feet, was topped off in December, which marked the completion of its structural work just shy of two years since the project broke ground in January 2022.
The main tower consists of a two-story pavilion and multi-level parking garage.
Sherwin-Williams is also building a 600,000 Global Technology Center in Brecksville as a part of its “Building Our Future” project.
The two projects represent a combined investment of at least $860 million.
