BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 01 NOV – By order of His Majesty His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, a total of 53 officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have allowed to be promoted, today.
At the ceremony, a total of 17 officers were promoted from Permanent Acting Major, Captain and Lieutenant (TLDB) to Permanent Major/Lieutenant Commander (TLDB), five officers were promoted from Permanent Captain to Acting Major and 31 officers were promoted from Acting Captain/Lieutenant (TLDB) and Permanent Lieutenant/Second Lieutenant (TLDB) to Permanent Captain/Lieutenant (TLDB).
The Promotion Badge Presentation Ceremony was completed by the ABDB Commander, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan in a ceremony that took place at the Officer’s Mess, Berakas Garison.
Also present at the ceremony were the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and the Second Minister of Defense, Honorable Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin; members of the Defense Executive Committee, ABDB Executive Committee and senior officers of the Ministry of Defense as well as family members of officers who have been promoted.

The ceremony ended with the recitation of Doa Selamat by the Acting Director of the Religious Affairs Department of the Indonesian Armed Forces (JAMA’AT), Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar to bless the ceremony.
