BEACHWOOD, Ohio — A Saks Fifth Avenue employee, while at work, was attacked by a known female with whom she has had difficulties in the past.
At 12:55 p.m. Oct. 31, police were called to the store at Beachwood Place mall, 26300 Cedar Road, on a report of the assault.
The employee told police that she has had problems for about two years with the suspect, who appeared at the store and told her that she should “beat” her.
The suspect then left the store, but returned 15 minutes later accompanied by another female.
This time, the suspect unexpectedly charged at the employee and punched her on the left side of her face. The other female, meanwhile, video recorded the attack. Minutes later, the video was posted on the suspect’s X account.
The suspect, whose age was not stated in the released police report, left the store and was seen by mall security leaving the property in an SUV.
Police contacted the suspect’s mother, who agreed to have her daughter call police.
The victim wished to pursue a charge of assault and sought a protection order.
