King Charles III celebrates his 76th birthday

LONDON, 14 NOV — Britain’s King, Charles III, today celebrated his 76th birthday with full commitment to royal duties despite undergoing cancer treatment, thus proving his spirit that never fades.

His Majesty’s eldest son and heir to the British throne, Prince William, described this year as ‘a very challenging year.’

His Majesty stopped official duties for a while last February after being diagnosed with an undisclosed cancer. However, only two and a half months later, His Majesty returned to work at the end of April.

“The problem is to stop him from continuing to work,” Queen Camilla has said several times since.

Last month, the royal couple continued their official overseas trips, including attending Commonwealth heads of government meetings in Australia and Samoa, with King Charles temporarily halting treatment for the visit.

According to an inside palace source, Charles returned full of ‘enthusiasm’ after the 11-day trip, and a palace official even stated that His Majesty plans to return to his usual international tour schedule next year.

His Majesty’s determination may also be fueled by his experience as the longest-serving heir to the throne in British history, taking over as King at the age of 70 following the death of Queen Elizabeth II on September 8, 2022.

His Majesty has vowed to carry out constitutional duties ‘for as long as God has given’.
