JAKARTA, NOV 15 – A total of 161 Malaysians have reported their whereabouts in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara since November 10 until today, according to the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta.
Of that number, 127 people have left Labuan Bajo by sea or air transport after domestic flight operations resumed on Wednesday.
“Two people have arrived in Jakarta, 21 in Surabaya, 34 in Bali and 20 in Lombok, to continue their journey back to Malaysia or to other destinations,” the embassy said in a statement.
According to the embassy, a total of 50 people informed that they have arrived in Malaysia.
Embassy staff in Labuan Bajo are currently helping 34 people who are still there, including three people who have just reported their whereabouts in Larantuka subdistrict.
The embassy continues to monitor the situation of the Lewotobi Laki-Laki Volcano eruption on Flores Island, East Nusa Tenggara which resulted in the temporary closure of airspace and flight operations from November 9 to 13, as well as several other flights including in Bali and Lombok on Wednesday.
The Indonesian authorities still put the level of alertness of Lewotobi Laki-Laki Volcano at the highest status of Level IV.
The number of prisoners in the prison exceeds the maximum capacity of 140,424 people, causing the overcrowding rate to reach 97 percent. – Named
