PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Some of Ohio’s best quarterbacks bring out the best in Glenville’s secondary.
A year ago against Canton South and All-Ohio quarterback Poochie Snyder, the Tarblooders picked him off three times to punch their ticket back to the OHSAA Division IV football state finals. C.J. Newell had one of those interceptions as a sophomore and on Friday night in the regional semifinals, he picked off the first of five passes intercepted by Glenville defensive backs in their 28-0 shutout of Lake Catholic.
