CHICAGO — Jaeden Ricketts, a 2026 wide receiver from Pataskala and Watkins Memorial high school, committed to Ohio State just hours after the team’s 31-7 win over Northwestern at Wrigley Field.
The Buckeyes have two commits in the 2026 class as of Saturday, and both are receivers. The other is five-star WR Chris Henry Jr, the No. 1 player in the class.
Ricketts is currently unranked by the 247Sports composite rankings. He’s a speedster, and at 6-feet and 187-pounds, is an early take for wide receivers coach Brian Hartline.
His commitment is one that could start a wave for the Buckeyes in the 2026 class, as the changing college football landscape has kept things a bit quieter than they otherwise would be. But with Early National Signing Day in just two-and-a-half weeks, things could soon get rolling for more on the 2026 class.
