TASEK GELUGOR, NOV 17 – Police arrested a foreign man to assist in the investigation regarding a fight in which a local man was seriously injured when his left eyeball was gouged out, in an incident in Jalan Ara Kuda, Penang yesterday.
Penang Police Chief, Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said the 28-year-old man was arrested following a fight at about 2pm.
“Based on the preliminary investigation, the 52-year-old man is said to have disturbed the suspect, before the foreign man hit him and injured both eyes,” he said when contacted. Named today.
He said the man was sent to Kepala Batas Hospital for further treatment and that his condition was critical, while the suspect who was arrested at the scene of the incident, was now remanded to assist in the investigation and the case was investigated under Section 325 of the Penal Code. – Named
