DUBAI, NOV 17 – The involvement of premium buyers at the Malaysia International Halal Exhibition (MIHAS) through the International Sourcing Program (INSP) is seen as the best platform to expand the business of Malaysian exhibitors to the international level.
Chairman of the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican said for example, MIHAS@Dubai 2024 which is being held for the first time outside of Malaysia will feature a total of 20 premium buyers from all over the world.
“The participation of companies in this category of premium buyers will be a platform for exporting companies in Malaysia to penetrate markets that may be difficult to penetrate privately.
“Perhaps with a program (INSP) like MIHAS, it can be a ‘stepping stone’ for these Malaysian companies to make a higher leap (in business),” he said at a press conference in conjunction with the MIHAS@Dubai 2024 program here. today.
Meanwhile, he said the recognition obtained from international recognition bodies such as Guinness World Records, World Trade Promotion Organization (WTPO) and UFI (the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry) have facilitated the organization of MIHAS@Dubai 2024.
“When MIHAS has become a (famous) brand, not only exhibitors want to participate, but buyers also want to come, because they know that MIHAS is a reliable, prestigious and internationally recognized trade fair program.
“If MIHAS is not a well-known brand, it will be quite difficult for us to get famous buyers from abroad to come. If we can’t bring buyers, how can we boost exports among exporters,” he said. – Named
