Varo Entertainment’s management company will take legal action against those who wrote negative comments to their patron artist, Byun Woo Seok.
The move was made to clear Woo Seok’s name after he received various criticisms from netizens.
“Recently we (Varo Entertainment) have made a decision to protect the rights of our actor, Byun Woo-seok.
“We cannot ignore the slander and insults that have been thrown at him and we have taken legal action,” said Woo-seok’s agency.
In the meantime, citing the report mStarthe agency claims they are gathering enough evidence to take legal action.
In fact, the agency reminds that writing comments containing elements of defamation and spreading false news is a criminal act.
“Writing defamatory comments, insults, sexual harassment and spreading unfounded false news is a criminal act and may be subject to legal action.
“We will not remain silent watching this crime happen, we will take strict legal action, without any relaxation so that the perpetrators receive the appropriate punishment,” he said.
For the record, Woo-seok has been the main character in the drama Lovely Runner which is Ryu Sun-Jae and has received a warm reception in 109 countries. – Agency
