BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 18 – The SUPER SMASHER 2024 Team Badminton Tournament organized by the Brunei Darussalam National Badminton Association (PBKBD) in collaboration with the Department of Youth and Sports (JBS), Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) opened tonight with four matches between eight teams in the group stage.
The tournament organized by PBKBD for the second time is scheduled to last until November 30 at the Recreation Hall, Youth Center with 24 teams involving a total of 288 badminton players from all over the country.
Competing teams include Ababil, AMITIE, Bad’Pacs Badminton Team, Black Feathers, CP7 Doremifashop_BN, CP7 Lucky Charm, CST V11, DDC, DX Official, Jotech Peradian’BT, Kawasaki Honeycarsmart Honor, Kawasaki Honeycarsmart Yeren, MSPPDB, Play Mixx Team 1, Play Mixx Team 2, SKN 1, SKN 2, Super Smash, Supersmash Unity, TDL ‘A’,TDL ‘B’, V11 Ace’s, X-Team ‘A’ Power and X-Team ‘B’.
The 24 teams are divided into eight groups before progressing to the Best 16 stage which is expected to start on Sunday, November 24 next.
A total of five categories were contested, namely men’s doubles under 21 (MD U21), men’s doubles B1 (MD B1), open men’s doubles A (MD A), women’s open doubles (WD) and men’s doubles B2 (MD B2).
