BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 18 – In order to strengthen the personality and religious values ​​as well as self-confidence among students, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha’s Girls Arab Religious School (SUAMPRIPAHS) held a Muslim Prince and Muslim Princess Competition which was held in the school hall recently this.
The event, which was organized for the second time, was attended by nine students from three Arab schools namely SUAMPRIPAHS; Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School and Brunei Islamic Ma’had, Tutong.
Present as a special guest at the ceremony was the Head of the Arabic School Division, Department of Islamic Studies (JPI), Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Pengiran Mohd Aminuddin bin Pengiran Haji Hussin.
The event started with a welcome speech from the Acting Principal of SUAMPRIPAHS, Dayangku Aidi Noorintan binti Pengiran Haji Zinin.
Among the objectives of the competition is to improve skills and self-confidence through tazkirah and speeches in addition to highlighting the talents and skills of students in the field of Islamic arts such as tarannum, tausyeh and nasyid. In addition to testing students’ fluency in Arabic through a question and answer session with the judges.
