BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 19 – In order to foster interest and improve Arabic speaking skills among students, Belait Arab School has held a program Hayya Ilal ‘Arabiyyah (Let’s Speak Arabic) with a theme Back To A Beautiful Classic Age yesterday.
The theme was chosen so that students could enrich their Arabic vocabulary related to heritage and tradition.
Present as the guest of honor at the ceremony was the Chief Religious Officer of the Belait District, Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Awang Mohamad Aliyani bin Ismail.
The program started with the recitation of Salawat and Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a speech from the Acting Headmaster of Belait Arab School, Pengiran Hajah Masniah binti Pengiran Hussin.
The event continued with a visit to the game fields with various activities that focus on strengthening listening and speaking skills in Arabic.
Technological skills are also highlighted such as interactive activities using the applications provided.
The program is one of the Islamic Studies Department’s initiatives run by Arab schools to strengthen the mastery of the Arabic language and foster a healthy spirit of competition among Arab school students.
