BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 19 – The highly anticipated event for those who love to shop, the Malaysian Year End Sale 2024 (MYES 2024) campaign, is back again starting from 15 November to 1 January 2025.
Tourism Malaysia stated that the campaign involved collaboration with more than 60 shopping centers and tourism partners with a total of 129 interesting activities and promotions awaiting tourists visiting Malaysia.
In connection with that, the launch of the Malaysia Year-End Sales Campaign-Brunei Edition took place at the Tourism Malaysia Brunei Darussalam Office, Bandar Seri Begawan, today.
Present to complete together and witness the launch was the appointed High Commissioner of Malaysia to Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency Datuk Mohd Aini Atan; Managing Director of Straits Central Agencies, Haji Musa bin Haji Adnin; Head of Baiduri Bank Card Business, Davern Lim and Director of Tourism Malaysia Brunei Darussalam, Mrs. Hazrina Azman.
Puan Hazrina stated that the promotion of Malaysia’s End of Year Sale will be intensified through the mass media and the offer of discount hotel accommodation packages. Malaysian Holidays in collaboration with Straits Central Agency.
He further stated that Tourism Malaysia aims to attract more tourists from Brunei Darussalam to visit Malaysia during the campaign to enjoy MY Priceless Experience in line with the slogan of the national sales campaign.
Puan Hazrina added that the initiative is expected to have a significant impact on the arrival of Bruneian tourists to Malaysia. From January to September 2024, he explained, Malaysia has recorded a total of 863,467 tourists from Brunei with an increase of 50.2 percent compared to the same period in 2023, making it one of the top 10 markets for tourist arrivals to Malaysia.
Malaysia’s End of Year Sales Campaign is an effort to facilitate and enhance the shopping, entertainment, recreation and leisure experience in integrated and contemporary shopping centers nationwide that provide more value and enjoyment to visitors and offer a mouth-watering East meets West gastronomic experience through a variety of dishes delicious food by the multicultural community from Malaysia.
A total of seven leading shopping malls are also set to hold Midnight Sales in conjunction with Malaysia’s End of Year Sales Campaign where it gives tourists the opportunity to shop late into the night.
The shopping centers involved are Sutera Mall Johor Baru, The Exchange TRX, Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang, Freeport A’Farmosa Outlet Park, Noor Arfa Craft Complex, Aeon Mall Tebrau City and Aeon Mall Kota Bharu.
