CLEVELAND, Ohio — For as much attention as Mentor’s offense gets, it is the defense that is playing at a championship level ahead of the Cardinals’ showdown with St. Edward.
They meet Friday night at Bedford’s Bearcat Stadium for the OHSAA Division I, Region 1 championship. Top-seeded Mentor (13-0) is coming off consecutive shutouts, including last week’s 31-0 win against Canton McKinley.
