Bundle up for a colder start this morning. Freezing temperatures are around much of Western Kansas this morning.
Afternoon highs will be slightly cooler than average in the low 50s and upper 40s. With the exception of a continued breeze, quiet conditions will continue today too.
Skies will be mainly clear during the day and later tonight. The night will also be another cold one in the 20s and low 30s.
We will be between two systems over the next few days. Low pressure will be spinning through the Great Lakes region while moisture gets pumped into the northwest corner of the country.
Temperatures will begin to rise after today as active weather in the Sunflower State holds off. Enjoy a mild weekend because colder air arrives next week just in time for holiday travelers.
High pressure will start to break down over the weekend and into next week.
Chances for moisture return by Tuesday with rain/snow showers being possible mainly to the north.
The potential for wet and wintry weather in the rest of the area before the holiday will need to be ironed out over the coming days.
