The temperatures are on the rise this week. As they begin a sudden drop this Wednesday they will rise spectacularly during the weekend.
On Tuesday, they were still two to three degrees higher than the seasonal norms in the north of the country. Except in the most northern departments, they were generally between 10°C and 15°C. This Wednesday, due to a descent of polar air which will cause snow Thursdaythe maximums have already lost around 5°C.
On Thursday, the decline will become more pronounced. According to Weather Franceit would be 0 to 7°C in the northern half of the country. These are levels between 5°C and 10°C below normal. They will even be 4°C-5°C lower than January norms, in the heart of winter.
Between Friday and Saturday afternoon, the movement will be reversed. Temperatures will begin to rise again by around 5°C. But it is between Saturday and Sunday that the jump will be remarkable.
Due to a surge of warm air from the Iberian Peninsula, maximum temperatures expected on Sunday afternoon in the northern half will range from 13°C to 17°C, or even 18°C. They will thus rise to almost ten degrees in 24 hours.
With such values, the maximums will be up to 6°C-7C° above the seasonal averages.
