BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, 20 NOV – The economic status of Brunei Darussalam and the direction towards advancing the national economy to achieve Goal 3 of the Brunei Vision 2035 to become a Dynamic and Resilient Economy was highlighted in the Executive Dialogue Session with Ministers in the Prime Minister’s Department (JPM) and The Second Minister of Finance and Economy, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah which took place at Isyraq Hall, Institute of Public Services (IPA), today.
The dialogue session discussed the topic, Economic Blueprint: Empowering Growth Through Technology and Innovationattended by a total of 78 officials from ministries and government departments who participated in the programs Civil Service Leadership Pipeline (CSLP) conducted by IPA.
The CSLP programs are the Executive Development Program for Senior Government Officers (EDPSGO) Cohort-31, the Executive Development Program for Middle Management Officers (EDPMMO) Cohort-35 and the Young Executive Program (YEP) Cohort-9 in 2024.
Also present at the session were senior officials from JPM and the Ministry of Finance and Economy.
During the dialogue session, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Amin Liew shared about the state of the country’s economy in general and the development status of the country’s priority sectors. He also touched on the role of technology and innovation in the development and diversification of the national economy.
In addition, Yang Berhormat Dato also shared the initiatives being carried out and future plans towards developing the economy. The development status of micro, small and medium enterprises (PMKS) was also included in the dialogue session.
The interactive dialogue session was able to provide a comprehensive view of the latest activities in the development of the country’s economy and could inject the participants with enthusiasm to continue supporting and realizing the country’s economic action plan, especially to strengthen the ability of future leaders to meet the ever-changing needs of the public, especially in the fast-growing digital age.
