BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 21 – Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has received the APEX 2025 East Asia Best Cabin Service and Food and Beverage Award during the APEX Awards Ceremony Best in Airlines Awards during the FTE APEX Asia EXPO that took place at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, recently.
According to a statement issued by RB, here, that based on over a million passenger votes verified through Concur’s Triplit, the prestigious award celebrates RB’s dedication to providing exceptional in-flight culinary and service experiences that leave a lasting impression on its passengers.
The event attended by leaders from across the global aviation industry saw RB’s Chief Executive Officer, Captain Sabirin bin Haji Abdul Hamid receive the award on behalf of RB.
Receiving such an award is testament to the dedication of the RB cabin crew who work tirelessly behind the scenes to provide the best service to passengers.
“This recognition is very significant as we celebrate our 50th anniversary, reinforcing our commitment to excellence and the spirit of ‘Sincerity,’ which guides every part of our service,” said Captain Sabirin.
The recognition received is also another significant landmark as a reminder of RB’s evolution from a small regional airline to an airline known worldwide for its sincerity in service that reflects the values ​​of Brunei’s friendly hospitality.
In 2024, RB has achieved various milestones including fleet renewal through the purchase of four Boeing 787-9 aircraft, the launch of dedicated services to enhance the guest experience such as RB SkyShop and RB SkySavour as well as the introduction of new destinations such as Chennai and Balikpapan.
RB has also hosted several significant events including the Brunei IATA Session Sustainable Aviation Fuel Capacity Building and 68th Assembly of Presidents of the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines.
In addition, RB was also honored with other awards that have been received such as Muslim Friendly Airline of the Year by Halal E-Travel Awards and APEX 4-Star Major Airline Rating for 2025.
While RB celebrates this significant achievement, it remains focused on the future, in line with Vision 2035, Brunei’s national vision for a dynamic and sustainable future.
