High pressure is building into the region. Temperatures overnight will fall to the 20s and lower 30s with a starry sky.
The warmth will then rebound from Friday into the weekend.
At times, clouds in the upper levels of the atmosphere will track on by through the area. Highs will return to the 50s and 60s during this stretch. A cold front comes through dry by the end of the weekend. This opens the door to a chillier holiday week. Highs for most of next week will be in the 40s with overnight lows in the 20s and lower 30s. Looks like there will be another shot of colder air after Thanksgiving that will linger through the following weekend. Highs by then fall to the cold 30s!
Next week the pattern will come alive. A few rain, potentially mixed with snow, showers are possible on Tuesday farther north.
A stronger piece of energy will then track into Kansas Wednesday into Thanksgiving.
This will be capable of rain and snow. Right now, light accumulations look possible. Timing, track and intensity of the moisture will be fine-tuned as we get closer. If you are traveling, please continue to stay weather aware.
Another rain/snow system may come together late in the following weekend.
