BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 21 – A total of 39 heads of families involved in fire, flood and strong winds have received financial assistance from the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam through the Department of Community Development (JAPEM). , Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS) in the aid handing over ceremony which took place at Dewan Citra Budaya, KKBS, today.
According to a statement issued by JAPEM, here, present to deliver financial aid to disaster victims is the Permanent Secretary (Youth), KKBS, Haji Zakaria bin Haji Serudin.
At the event, four heads of families out of 39 recipients of financial assistance were victims involved in the fire incident; five family heads were involved in the flood incident; and 30 heads of families involved in the strong wind incident.
All the victims and residents of the house involved in the disaster are in a safe condition and have not suffered any injuries.
