BELAIT, NOV 22 – A total of 180 circumcision participants were celebrated in the Doa Selamat Ceremony before Circumcision followed by the Berdikir Ceremony in conjunction with the school holidays.
The ceremony organized by the Outpatient Surgical Clinic (SOPD) and Podiatry Unit took place at the Multipurpose Hall, Hospital Suri Seri Begawan (SSB), Kuala Belait, yesterday.
Present as the guest of honor and delivering a speech at the event was the Acting Chief Executive Officer of SSB Hospital, Awang Mohamad Alikhan bin Haji Mohd Yakop.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Head of Religious Unit of SSB Hospital, Awang Ali Omar bin Haji Mohd Yussof.
Such a ceremony is organized to give privileges to the participants so that the process during the circumcision will be carried out smoothly and be blessed.
In addition, it is also to establish cooperation between the hospital and family members of circumcised children and to get good cooperation from the family.
In addition, a briefing on care methods before and after circumcision was also held where it was delivered by SOPD Nurse, Haji Mohammad Kamsani bin Haji Abdul Khamis.
The ceremony was further brightened up with Dikir Marhaban and the distribution of egg flowers and then concluded with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Awang Ali Omar.
Also present, heads of departments or units, parents and guardians as well as officers and staff at SSB Hospital.
