Sophomore running back Quintrevion Wisner has notched 98 carries for 468 yards and two touchdowns. Junior Jaydon Blue has collected 90 carries for 459 yards and five touchdowns.
Texas touts the nation’s best passing defense, allowing 136.7 yards per game. They also own the best overall defense (249 yards per game) and allow the least yards per play (3.95). The unit is allowing 11.9 points per game, which is fourth in the nation in scoring defense.
The accolades keep on piling up as Texas leads the SEC in points per game allowed (11.9), first downs allowed per game (14.8) and interceptions (15).
The defensive front tallied six sacks and nine tackles for loss against the Razorbacks last week. They held Arkansas to just 221 total yards of offense. The Longhorns have bullied their way to 27 sacks. Kentucky has allowed that exact number this season, which is 104th in the nation.
Senior defensive lineman Alfred Collins is a mountain that has the nation’s attention. He has 17 solo tackles, one sack and one forced fumble. Senior defensive back Jahdae Barron has amassed 24 solo tackles, four interceptions, one sack and eight pass deflections.

The Wildcats (4-6, 1-6) have been humbled after a hot start, and a close call with Georgia. Sitting at 15th in the SEC standings, their only conference win came against a top-five Ole Miss in Oxford.
An eight-year bowl streak hangs in the balance as they try to shake up the hierarchy. Past play against CFP contenders hint at a competitive matchup, at least to start.
Kentucky’s style will want to grind this game down into the trenches and milk the clock. The defense has put them in position to win games this season. The offense has held them back, failing to score more than 20 points in any SEC game.
Kentucky ranks 114th in the nation in passing offense, which could spell out a field day in the secondary for the burnt orange.

The Wildcats are 22nd in the nation in scoring defense and 29th in total defense. They are 53rd in rushing defense. Their ability to force turnovers could make it interesting. Texas has coughed up two or more turnovers in five games this season. The Longhorns have 15 turnovers this season.
Junior defensive tackle Deone Walker has garnered 2025 NFL Draft attention, tallying 11.5 solo tackles with 1.5 sacks.
It will be the second all-time meeting between the two programs. Texas won the first matchup back in Austin, 7-6, in 1951.
