CLEVELAND, Ohio – Zippy the mascot’s bobblehead has been released.
The bobblehead of the University of Akron mascot, a lumpy and loveable kangaroo, is available via the Milwaukee-based National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
Each eight-inch tall bobblehead is individually numbered to 2,024.
Zippy has been the school’s official mascot since 1953. In 2007, she won the national Capital One Mascot of the Year Challenge.

Zippy hasn’t brought much success to the football team. The Zips are 3-8 and mired in their seventh consecutive losing season. They host Toledo at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26.
