LABUAN, NOV 24 – The average entrepreneur who participates in the Labuan Connect Program! very excited to be the first exhibitor involved in the event which was held for the first time in Labuan yesterday.
Share to NamedShirley Dorina Anak Anthony, 46, said she was very excited as the program was not only able to generate income but also to get to know the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) more closely.
The mother of three who produces layer cakes, brownies and egg tarts said that previously she had participated in many sales programs held by other agencies including the Federal Agricultural Marketing Board (FAMA).
Shirley Dorina said that as a full-time housewife, selling cakes part-time through sales programs or online helps to increase the family’s income to some extent.
“I feel very lucky because it is the first time this program is held here and I became a participant and was most excited when I found out Named who runs this program.
“Through this program has also introduced me that Named is a big media name and I really did not expect to be able to work with Bernama for the first time,” he said who is from Sarawak.
Working as a pastry chef for the past eight years, Shirley Dorina said she found out about the program through the National Information Dissemination Center (NADI) of Kampung Lubuk Tamiang.
He hopes the Labuan Connect Program! will continue in the future and be held in a larger area so that more entrepreneurs can participate.
Alinawati Kalik, 40, who runs a fruit stand is also excited to participate in this program as she gets to know the staff and functions Named previously known only by name.
Hailing from Kampung Layang-Layangan, he said the program was very beneficial for every small entrepreneur to promote their products to customers. – Named
