BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 25 – The publication of the Ministry of Development’s Strategic Plan Book 2024-2029 is a landmark for the Ministry of Development in providing direction for the next 5 years so that the continuation of national development planning will continue to be implemented.
“During this five-year period, the Ministry of Development has set several Main Strategic Goals in order to achieve the Ministry’s three visions, namely: Quality Life, Sustainable Development and a Prosperous Nation.”
With these goals in mind, the Ministry of Development will continue to commit to the planning and implementation of national development plans that have been set to meet the needs of the present and be able to survive in providing benefits for the next generation.
The emphasis was made by the Minister of Development, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid in his welcome speech at the Joint Meeting with Members of the National Assembly and the Ministry of Development held at Dewan Atria Simpir, Public Works Department Headquarters, Berakas , today.
The muzakarah session was accompanied by a group of 11 members of the National Assembly led by the Honorable Awang Haji Sulaiman bin Haji Nasir who is the Head of Labu Estate and Piasau-Piasau Villages, Temburong District.
Also present were the Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment), Dayang Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak; Permanent Deputy Secretary (Construction Industry and Development), Sr. Dayang Hajah Norhayati binti Haji Mohd Yaakub; Deputy Permanent Secretary (Corporate and Legal), Dayang Aldila binti Haji Mohamad Salleh; department heads and senior officers from the Ministry of Development and departments under it.
In his welcoming speech, the Honorable Dato Seri Setia Haji Muhammad Juanda expressed confidence in realizing the vision, mission and goals in line with Brunei Vision 2035 with the cooperation and support of all parties.
The discussion session is intended to be used as a platform to discuss openly between the two sides in addition to exchanging views on further improving the quality of services and programs promoted by the Ministry of Development towards achieving the well-being of the people.
