BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 25 – An exclusive forum to collect funds was held at the Sultan Sharif Ali Mosque, Mukim Sengkurong today to welcome the awareness of mosque members to contribute to the construction of mosques in the country.
The forum was organized by the members of the Mosque Renovation Committee and also the Brunei and Muara District Mosque Affairs Office in collaboration with the Trustee Management Unit of the Fund for the Construction of the Brunei Darussalam National Mosque with the presence
Acting Director of Mosque Affairs, Ministry of Religious Affairs (KHEU), Haji Amir Hisham bin Haji Masri as guest of honor.
Forums with titles Fjustice spend to build a mosque and give money mosque which was chaired by the Mosque Affairs Officer, Haji Abdul Malik bin Haji Jumat and was joined by panel members consisting of the Acting Assistant Director of Mosque Affairs, Haji Asminan bin Haji Chuchu and the Mosque Affairs Officer, Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin.
The forum was also filled with explanations of financial rules for depositing the fund, opening the fund, counting money, sending money to the bank including reports to the fund’s secretariat.
Among the purposes of the forum is to raise awareness among members of the mosque congregation to make contributions as shares in the afterlife, to provide knowledge and facilities on the procedures for contributing to the fund as well as ways of spending money other than the dedicated fund.
In addition, the forum is expected to motivate the congregation to continue to devote themselves to religion through donations as one of the vehicles for spreading and strengthening religious teachings.
