A strong cold front swept through yesterday evening and has been dropping temps rapidly overnight.
The cold wind will be blowing all day. Wind chill will feel like the teens and 20s early, improving slowly with time. Clouds will break up and leave us with sunshine by late morning.
Highs statewide are much colder than yesterday, about 20 degrees down across the board.
Wind will relax tonight, allowing lows to drop into the 20s.
Staying chilly tomorrow, but winds will switch around to the south and starts to bring temperatures up for western Kansas.
Another cold front is on the way Wednesday, and this one may bring a bit of moisture with it. Some light showers develop behind the front Wednesday evening as cold air plunges in, which may be able to transition any showers from rain over to snow. Accumulations are not expected to be significant, but it is on one of the biggest travel days of the year, so we will be watching closely for any changes to the forecast.
Thanksgiving starts cloudy and gives way to sunshine by afternoon, but it will be a chilly one with highs in the 40s.
Another cold front arrives for the weekend, and that one may bring highs down to the 30s! December will be off to a cold start.
