Police remove pesky kids on dirt bikes from man’s property; help with abandoned dogs: Russell Township police blotter

RUSSELL TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Suspicious, Music Street:

A property owner sought police help 3:48 p.m. Nov. 3. He wanted officers to get two dirt bike riding youths off his property. He did not want to press charges but wanted them gone. Officers talked to the youths and sent them home, then they advised the parents of the complaint.

Assistance, Silver Creek Drive:

A resident asked for police help 1 p.m. Nov. 9 after someone left two dogs unattended at a relative’s house. An officer spoke with the dog warden’s office to make arrangements for the dogs.

Assistance, Skyline Lane:

Police responded 8:50 p.m. Nov. 4 to help firefighters as they extinguished a brush fire.

Found property, Hemlock Road:

Russell Township officers met with Chagrin Falls police shortly before 7 p.m. Nov. 7 to give them car keys found at Modroo Park. The concerned citizen had dropped off at the Chagrin Falls police station. The vehicle was still parked there. A short time later the owner called dispatch advising them the vehicle would be left there overnight. After being told the police had his keys he came to the Russell Township station to retrieve them.
