Pedestrian sustains injuries after vehicle strikes him: Bainbridge Township police blotter

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio —

Injury crash, Chagrin Road:

A Bainbridge Township man, 24, sustained injuries to his head 6 p.m. Nov. 7 after being struck by a passing truck mirror as he walked eastbound on Chagrin Road. Bainbridge Township EMS transported him to Ahuja Medical Center where he received stitches and was treated for a broken cheekbone and chipped teeth.

The driver, a 66-year-old Bainbridge Township man, was not cited in the crash. Police were unable to determine who was at fault. Wearing dark clothing, the pedestrian was walking facing oncoming traffic. It is not clear if he was walking on the road or to the side of the road. The driver did not see him in time to avoid the incident.
