AKRON, Ohio — A 14-year-old boy was hospitalized after he was wounded in a shooting the East Akron neighborhood, police say.
Few details have been released on the shooting, which occurred just before 10 p.m. Saturday on the 700 block of Eugene Street, police say. Officers arriving on the scene applied a chest seal and tourniquet to the teen before EMS workers arrived.
The boy was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital and his wounds are not considered life-threatening, police say. No arrests have been made.
