BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 26 – The Ministry of Education through the Department of Educator Management has held a number of training sessions on Compassionate Leave for teaching staff to school leaders and representatives of higher education institutions.
Present for today’s session which took place in Auditorium 1, Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Girls Arab Religious Secondary School, Katok were government school leaders from Clusters 2, 3, 4 and 6, representatives from several private schools as well as representatives from the Institute of Education Technical Brunei (IBTE) and Polytechnic Brunei (PB).
A briefing for the Charity Leave was delivered by the Director of Educator Management, at the Ministry of Education, Dayang Masdiah binti Haji Tuah who, among other things, shared the conditions and guidelines for the Charity Leave to school leaders and representatives of government higher education institutions.
Charity leave is leave given to teaching staff at the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Religious Affairs during the school term in accordance with the guidelines and conditions that have been set, effective from 1 January 2025.
The granting of Compassionate Leave is the government’s effort to take care of the welfare and well-being of teachers, thereby increasing their motivation in carrying out teaching and learning tasks.
The first session was held last November 9 for government school leaders under the Ministry of Education from Cluster 1 and 5.
