TOKYO, NOV 27 – Japanese police announced today that they have arrested a man who reportedly confessed to breaking into more than 1,000 homes as an unusual way to relieve stress.
Police arrested the 37-year-old man on Monday for allegedly breaking into a property in Dazaifu, southern Japan, a police spokesman told AFP.
“Breaking into other people’s houses is my hobby, and I have done it more than 1,000 times,” the Mainichi Shimbun newspaper reported quoting the man as saying.
“I was so excited that my palms were sweating wondering if someone would find me or not, and it helped reduce my stress,” he told police, according to the newspaper report. – AFP
