Malaysian actor, Zulkifli Ismail had to be detained at the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia Chancellor Tunku Mukhriz Hospital since Monday after suffering breathing problems while sleeping.
More worryingly, said Zulkifli, 61, his breathing had also stopped several times while he was sleeping soundly.
Because of that, Zulkifli said he ‘surrendered’ to the hospital to find out the real cause of the problem and finished undergoing treatment known as sleep studies.
“Doctors do sleep studies because I often have trouble breathing when I sleep or when I’m called sleep apnea.
“This includes stopping breathing several times throughout the night while sleeping,” he said.
According to mStarZulkifli shared the matter through a post on his Instagram yesterday.
In the meantime, Zulkifli told the test sleep studies done to identify some things suffered while sleeping.
That’s because he has been suffering from sleep disorders such as snoring for quite some time, as well as feeling breathless when talking.
“My breathing also became so fast that other people could hear it. When talking, it’s like panting.
“Once during the filming, the audio engineer once said that my voice sounded breathless as if there was something wrong with my breathing,” he said.
Meanwhile, Zulkifli said he was already allowed to go home after completing the examination sleep studies.
However, he had to go back to the hospital to find out the results of the test and tell him that his condition was not worrying. – Agency
