The national contingent leaves for the Philippines

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, NOV 28 – The national contingent consisting of 11 people consisting of physiotherapists, managers, coaches and pencak silat athletes left for Puerto Princesa, Republic of the Philippines this afternoon to participate in the 11th BIMPNT-EAGA Friendship Games.

Present to wish the national contingent of the second group a safe sailing and to give words of advice was the Permanent Secretary (Culture) acting as the Permanent Secretary (Sports) of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (KKBS), Pengiran Haji Mohd Hasnan bin Pengiran Haji Ali Hassan.

Also present were the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of the Philippines to Brunei Darussalam, Her Excellency Mrs. Marian Jocelyn R Tirol-Ignacio and senior officers of KKBS.

Before departure, the recitation of Doa Selamat was led by the Officer at the Youth and Sports Department, KKBS, Haji Ahmad Yaardy bin Haji Abdul Karim.

The 11th BIMPNT-EAGA Friendship Games will be held in Puerto Princesa, Republic of the Philippines which officially starts from 1 to 5 December where Brunei Darussalam will participate in six sports events namely swimming, badminton, karate, athletics, pencak silat and sepak takraw .
