LOS ANGELES, NOV 28 – A man from Arizona, United States (US) was arrested after he is believed to have uploaded a video online threatening to kill President-elect Donald Trump and his family, local media reported yesterday.
The suspect, Manuel Tamayo-Torres, was arrested on Monday near San Diego, where he plans to move in the near future, according to news outlets. ABC 7reported Xinhua.
Charges against the man were filed in Arizona.
ABC 7 citing court documents reported that the suspect uploaded a series of videos on Facebook in recent months, including one that showed the man holding a white AR-15 rifle with a 30-round magazine loaded.
The court documents do not directly identify Trump, but refer to him as ‘Individual 1,’ a term commonly used in court documents to refer to public figures, former presidents and current presidents-elect.
Tamayo-Torres faces felony charges of threatening the president-elect after making several threats against Trump and his family, as well as four counts of making false statements during a gun purchase, according to the document. – Named
